Genes – By Edward Hamilton

Book Cover / Jacket Design

Genes-Cover-2
Project Overview

This project brought together design sensitivity and print craftsmanship to create a bespoke book jacket with presence, restraint and authority. A cover designed not just to protect the book but to introduce it with confidence.

The Brief

The objective was clear: create a book cover that would immediately capture attention while remaining true to the tone, character and message of the work. The jacket needed to feel considered and balanced, translating a strong visual idea into a printed piece that would perform just as well on display as it would in the reader’s hands.

Our Approach

Our design team developed a tailored cover concept, built around strong composition, confident typography and carefully chosen imagery. Every element was considered not only for visual impact, but for how it would translate through print ensuring the final result enhanced the original concept rather than compromising it.

Equal attention was given to materials and print techniques, selecting finishes and production methods that complemented the design rather than competing with it. Throughout the process, we managed each stage closely to maintain consistency, clarity and intent from initial concept to final
production.

Print & Production

High quality print production ensured crisp detail, depth and balance across the jacket. Tight control throughout the process preserved the subtlety of the design, delivering a clean, polished finish that reflects the professionalism of the publication.

The Result

A refined, confident book jacket that makes a strong first impression without overstating itself. The finished piece feels deliberate, well‑crafted and assured. A project that demonstrates the impact of thoughtful design, material awareness and controlled print execution working in harmony.
