As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable printing and carbon reduction, Anglo Printers has installed a new air-to-air heat pump system at our expanded facility in Mell, Drogheda, Co. Louth.
In 2025, we acquired and upgraded a 4,000 sq ft unit adjacent to our main site, improving the building’s environmental performance through:

A new insulated roof system

Internal wall insulation upgrades

Improved heat retention and temperature control
These enhancements significantly increased energy efficiency and reduced heat loss.
The most impactful change was replacing the existing oil-based heating system with a modern, electrically powered Panasonic NX Jet Air Stream heat pump, installed following consultation with CSC Engineering. The system provides highly efficient heating and cooling, precise temperature control, and improved air distribution — making it ideal for large storage spaces, particularly for paper and board materials.
By removing fossil fuel heating from the unit, this installation supports our long-term environmental strategy and contributes directly to our goal of reducing CO₂ emissions by 35% by 2030.
