Ireland’s premier stone specialist needed a brochure that carried the same precision and elegance as their work. The brief was straightforward, the print had to be worthy of the product.

The Job
240 × 170mm brochure with an intentionally undersized front cover trimmed to 110mm wide. The stepped format gives the piece an architectural quality that immediately sets it apart, a deliberate design decision that mirrors the craft of stone fabrication.

4pp cover printed 4-colour litho on 300gsm uncoated stock on the Komori GL540 Advance. 12pp text section on 170gsm uncoated throughout. Uncoated stock demands careful management of ink density, dot gain, and ink-water balance, calibrated curves applied and monitored across the full run to ensure clean, even coverage.

Finishing Gold foil applied to the front cover on the Heidelberg Cylinder, with die temperature and impression carefully controlled for clean definition on the uncoated surface. Saddle-stitched with gold wire sourced specifically to complement the warmth of the foil, a material detail that ties the whole piece together.
